As part of a project consortium, Woolpert International provided geographic information system (GIS) development services to assist a private company in a gas pipeline design project. High-quality aerial photography was supplied at 1:20,000 negative scale for orthophoto and planimetric mapping, and at 1:10,000 negative scale for topographic compilation of about 440 square kilometers.

For the mapping component of the project, the consortium established horizontal and vertical geodetic control. Satellite-based global positioning system (GPS) control points were acquired and included as part of the control layout. Woolpert International also provided fully analytic triangulation for more than 74 stereo models, as well as stereo model adjustment and digital ortho-rectification for digital orthophoto map delivery.
